Editorial Standards

Our commitment to accuracy, transparency, and professional integrity in every intelligence brief.

Sourcing Rules

  • Primary sources only: FDA.gov, Federal Register, official agency databases, published guidance documents, and formal agency communications.
  • No unverified claims: We do not publish intelligence based on rumors, anonymous tips, or unconfirmed reports.
  • Citation required: Every brief includes source citations that allow readers to verify our interpretation against original documents.
  • Cross-reference standard: Significant interpretations are cross-referenced against historical precedents and related regulatory actions.

What Counts as "Material Development"

We publish briefs when a development meets our materiality threshold:

  • Requires decision-makers to consider operational, strategic, or compliance adjustments
  • Represents a departure from established patterns or precedents
  • Signals emerging trends in enforcement, policy, or approval pathways
  • Has implications across multiple product types or company sizes

We do not publish briefs for routine administrative notices, minor procedural updates, or developments that do not warrant decision-maker attention.

Update & Correction Policy

Update protocol: If significant new information emerges after publication, we issue an updated brief clearly marked as "[UPDATED]" with explanation of changes.

Correction protocol: If we identify an error of fact or interpretation, we issue a correction notice appended to the original brief and notify subscribers via email.

Retraction protocol: In the rare case that a brief must be retracted, we publish a clear retraction notice, archive the original with "[RETRACTED]" label, and notify all subscribers.

Disclosures

  • Financial conflicts: Nysom Intelligence Group does not hold financial positions in companies covered in our intelligence briefs. We disclose any potential conflicts that may arise.
  • Client confidentiality: No confidential client information from consulting relationships is used in our public intelligence briefs.
  • Independence: Our intelligence interpretation is not influenced by subscriber identity, advertising relationships (we have none), or external commercial pressures.
  • Affiliate relationships: None currently. If established in the future, they will be clearly disclosed.

Brief Disclaimer Standard

Every subscriber brief includes the following disclaimer header:

"This intelligence brief provides regulatory interpretation for decision-framing purposes. It does not constitute legal, medical, or financial advice. Readers should consult appropriate professional advisors for specific guidance. Sources are cited for verification."
